What's inside a Concrete Polisher's Toolkit?

To be able to effectively work with concrete polishing one needs a specific set of tools for every methods to be used. It will not be really a problem as there are useful information widely avaialable for a floor contractor. The right tools for the right procedure will effectively bring out the best in a polished concrete floor.

Rags or clean pieces of clothing are an example of what a concrete polisher must have. A rag is used mainly for wiping and cleaning the surface during preparation and demobilization. It is also used to clean dust as a result of surface preparation.

Another tool a concrete polisher uses is the concrete grinder. As the name implies, this gadget is used during concrete grinding where the surface is smoothen to produce a glossy finish. A grinder comes in different shapes, speed and size.

A tape is also essential in a concrete polisher's toolkit. Tapes are generally used in preparation of a surface that would be treated with colorants or staining. Different sizes of tapes are used for different designs of concrete polishing.

Household mops are essential tools in replace or in addition to rags. They remove excess water that results when preparing a floor that needs to be polished. They can also be used when a large area of the concrete floor needs to be stained as tints are applied on cloths before directly applying on the floor.

Squegees are also used as a tool in concrete polishing preparation. They are mainly used to spread out the new layer of sealer to the concrete that is filled with cracks due to wear and tear. It is also used to remove excess water out of the surface.

Who would have thought that these staple household tools have the same importance in the process of concrete polishing? Having the right tools and using them correctly will make the process of concrete polishing efficient, effective and of great quality.
