by Mikkan Drane

Concrete polished floor had become quite the popular alternative against the rest of its floor type competition mostly because of how easy it is to maintain it. Usually, a polished concrete floor only requires mop damping, washing and nothing more. Unless of course necessary which could also be because of so many reasons.

If you have on your floor the natural look. Dirt and grime on that kind of color can be hard to distinguish. However, with the colored stained floors, the dirt is easier to find, therefore easier to clean.

While on the colored or stained concrete polished floor types, identifying the presence of dirt can be a lot easier. Whichever is your option, the point is to be able to clean it after realizing it had gotten messy over the days. This of course guarantees the longevity of your concrete polished floor.

Before the heavy cleaning though, what should be considered is the left over residue of the Epoxy used as sealant. This can easily be cleaned through the use of a blow torch. The black markings that could possibly be left during the burning can be removed by bleaching the burnt area.

After that, you can now choose whether to use the traditional option of mixing water with parts of hydrochloric acid or phosphoric acid for cleaning. What you should use depends on what type of material it is that was used to make the concrete polishing and where it is located. As for other types of dirt, you can always go back with water and bleach again.

Steam cleaning is also an option to consider when cleaning your concrete polished floor. It is actually one of the safest means of maintenance that can prevent having unwanted damages on the floor due to inappropriate cleaning materials.
