Different Floor Types For Dummies
If you do a Google search on all flooring types available today, you will literally find thousands of options. That's because the choices on floor types are growing every single day. So if you think all these is too much, here are some of the popular options to get you started in the right direction.
The choice in carpets are many. They come in different kinds like wool, nylon, and plush. If you're thinking about which carpet to choose, I recommend asking an interior designer for help. It would be a disaster to choose the wrong one for the wrong place like Berber inside the bedroom. Price ranges between $15 and $30 per yard.
Ceramic tiles give a more designer look when used properly and it comes in endless and different sizes and colors which vary according to your taste. It is weaker than most so you should use it in places where you want to look nice without getting too much abuse. Prices range from $8 to $15 per square foot.
Polished concrete is probably the best option. It gives you a more modern look. It's as durable as marble but not as expensive. If you're thinking it's too hard and cold, contractors can easily have heating tubes put underneath to keep it warm during the cold season.
These are just a few ideas. There are a lot more where that came from and all you have to do is choose. As always, it's best to consult professionals when you're choosing as you definitely do not want to make a permanent or expensive mistake.
