Area where you get a lot of water, such as the bathroom , are great with tiles since it is water resistant and can just be mopped up. It stays shiny and cleaning it only requires an occasional scrub with some detergent to keep spaces in between dirt free. Using tiles on a walkway may not be very ideal since it can get slippery.
