Laminate floors are also very tough, proving to be more durable than the things they often imitate.

The Recent Laminate Floors

Only being introduced to the US about a decade ago, laminate floors have come a long way in a very short time. They're already one of the fastest selling floor types in the United States today. There's an amazing array of laminated floor tiles and planks that manufacturers of flooring have made available to us as of late. It's also available in many different textures and styles. There are many different installation formats, such as floating, glue down, and click lock. Armstrong and Pergo have made themselves into household names in laminate flooring, and many other manufacturers are making names for themselves providing high quality flooring in finishes and styles that will surprise even the most finicky of customers.

The Oddly Confusing Laminated Floors

Laminate floors can become confusing when you're trying to choose how you want to lay it out. There are AC Ratings, and different tongue and groove systems that make things even more complicated. As this type of floor is still rather new, it's only going to get more confusing as time goes on as well.
