Exploring The Versatility Of Rugs

There are often times many different things that you can do besides placing a rug on the floor when it comes to home decorating. One of the most unique ideas allows you to be able to get extra use from a rug that might not be suitable to use as a rug any longer. This rug might be worn out or entirely too faded to place on the floor any longer. The remedy for this type of rug is to take it and make it into a sofa throw pillow. You can do this by cutting out the good non- faded parts and use them to cover a pillow that you already have or cover some fill material. If you decide to, you can add tassels to the corners of the pillow and that will give it even more of a trendy look.

The same thing can be done to make a floor cushion, which is something quite similar to a beanbag chair. That is, only if you have an area rug with a section that is large enough that still looks decent enough to use.

Many individuals may travel and collect great area rugs but come home and don't want to place them on the floor. What are your options when this occurs you ask use them as wall art. Yes, they sell great wall brackets which will hold area rugs securely and safely. This will be a great option to show off where you've gone in your lifetime and the areas which you visited.

Many stores sell great rug mounts for walls or you can just use a standard window rod to place your area rug on display. If you don't want to attach anything directly onto the wall try placing this wonderful rug over a banister or even placed over a couch like a throw blanket. It will give the room your own unique style.

If you have a larger space and you combine a few room designs such as an office and a living room, try using area rugs to break the room apart to make it their own space. Make sure if you decide to head into this direction that the rugs at least compliment each other. They don't necessarily have to be the same rug but at least in the same texture and color scheme.

If you enjoy a rugs appearance try basing the theme and style around that piece. It's easier to start with a larger accent piece such as an area rug rather than paint. Area rugs will give you that visual feel of welcoming, calming, and homey feel which everyone wants to have.

Decorating with area rugs has never been so easy with these grey area rugs; and in particular these gray flokati rug.
