What is the best way to cut around corners with ceramic tile?

Answered By Fran Fratelli, Editor

Only few people know how to make perfect squares when doing a tiling project. For you to be included in these few, the following are ceramic tile tips which can help you make good cuts to be placed in your room:

- Use a wet saw. Cutting a ceramic tile is far more different from cutting a wood. You will need a wet saw to keep the surface of the tile from overheating as you cut it.
- Get the precise measurement of each angle. In order to get the accurate measurement, do the measuring twice.
- Undercut. You should be cautious in cutting to avoid throwing away big pieces of tile later.
- Be careful when cutting ceramic tiles. Always use safety glasses.
