Should I put padding under my new wood flooring?
Answered By Fran Fratelli, Editor
You need to put padding to provide cushion to
your new wood floors. This padding will not
only provide a soft feel, but also it will
lessen the noise of the wood floors when
stepped on. If you have dogs or cats, good
padding can keep the noise from keeping you
up during night.
However, it is important that you choose the
right padding for your wood flooring. Shop
around for the best brand and types of
padding. Otherwise, ask for a suggestion from
the manufacturer of your hardwood flooring.
