Pergo Flooring Needs TLC

Pergo flooring is very versatile and can be installed over several types of surfaces. Pergo flooring will provide a great selection of choices for any of your flooring needs. This article will examine this wonderful flooring a little closer.

Pergo flooring can be installed over wood, vinyl, linoleum, and ceramic tiles if need be. This could save you allot of labor should you decide to install pergo flooring yourself. Most pergo flooring will present itself best if installed parallel to the length of the room so that when the light comes in it will fall along the length of the planks creating a random pattern.

You should always start with the left hand corner of the room when beginning the installation of pergo flooring. You will want to assemble the planks together in the first row so that they form a straight line.

Caring for pergo flooring is really quite easy. You can clean it with a simple vacuum, but never use one with a beater bar as this can caused extensive damage to your flooring. You should clean the surface with a damp mop and some mild detergent.

When caring for your pergo flooring it is also important to never any kind of commercial steam equipment on your flooring. Also, make sure to never apply any wax or rough abrasives to the surface as this can cause scratches. Really the key is to be mild at all times. If you should fins a tough stain in your pergo flooring you can often get it out with a little bit of acetone.

You can get by with simple door mat or other type of protective mat in the doorways. If you are placing your pergo flooring in a room that will have furniture with legs then you should use some protective casters or pieces of carpet to protect your pergo flooring from damage.
